Using resistance bands within yoga asana offers opportunities for enhanced body awareness, improved muscular control, strengthening benefits and creative play within familiar poses and movements. This will be a workshop style class with some discussion, lots of guided breath and physical practice, plus time for questions and individual exploration. Movements will include getting up and down from the floor, kneeling, standing, balancing. Chairs and the wall can be used for support. A medium strength approximately 5 ft long latex resistance band will be provided and is yours to keep after the class. If you are sensitive to latex please plan to supply an alternative band for use in the class.
